FAQ

When is the garden open?

Every Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and every last Sunday of the month from 1 to 3 PM.

On those days our most experienced members lead a session and we go through tasks together. Every member is free to go to the garden at any time (though we don't go after 8PM to not bother the tenants)

Is the garden kids friendly?

Absolutely! Kids can learn about the different stages of a plant's life, have fun with hands-on activities, and learn to appreciate the beauty of nature. Gardening with kids can also teach them important life skills such as patience, responsibility, and problem solving. With the help of an adult, kids can also learn how to compost, mulch, and use tools. They can also learn about different plant species and how to care for them. Gardening is a great way for kids to get out of the house and explore nature in a safe and fun environment!

Are dogs allowed in the garden?

Yes, we love dogs! As long as they are well behaved and friendly towards other dogs, they are welcome. We kindly ask that you keep an eye on your dog at all times to ensure that they don't cause any damage to the garden.

How do I join?

Drop in during our opening times (every Wednesday from 6-8 PM and each Sunday of the month from 1-3 PM). We will show you around and have you sign our membership form. Lastly, you will give us a one-off payment of £10 and you'll officially be a member!

Everyone is welcome to join in and contribute to G3 Growers. We provide all of the necessary tools and equipment, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Gardening is a great way to meet new people, develop new skills and enjoy the outdoors. We can't wait for you to join us!

Will I get a personal allotment?

Our Community Garden offers a unique allotment experience where we don't have private allotments. Here, we all work together to maintain the garden and share the produce. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, but all are united in the joy of gardening and learning from one another.
